What a Zenith Installation Includes
A Proper Load Calculation
We size the unit to your home, not to whatever was there before. An oversized air conditioner short-cycles: it cools the air without removing humidity, so the house feels clammy and the compressor wears out early.
Removal and Disposal
The old condenser and coil are removed and disposed of responsibly, refrigerant recovered as regulations require. No extra charge, nothing left in your driveway.
Permits and Rebates
Required permits are pulled and every rebate your equipment qualifies for is applied for on your behalf, including Ontario energy programs.
Commissioning, Not Just Fitting
Refrigerant charge verified, airflow measured, and the thermostat configured. An undercharged system loses efficiency from the first day and nobody notices for years.
Workmanship Guarantee
Our labour is guaranteed on top of the manufacturer warranty on the equipment itself.
Financing Available
Flexible monthly payment options so a failed air conditioner in July does not have to come out of savings.
How the Job Runs
1. In-home assessment
We look at the ductwork, the electrical supply and the layout of the house, then recommend a capacity and a model with the numbers to back it up.
2. Written quote
A fixed price covering equipment, labour, permits and disposal, with the monthly financing figure shown beside the total.
3. Installation day
Most residential installations finish in a single day. We protect floors on the way in and clean up on the way out.
When is the best time to replace an air conditioner?
Spring or early autumn. In a July heatwave every installer in Ottawa is booked and you take whatever unit is in stock. Replacing before the season starts means you choose the equipment rather than the equipment choosing you.
Should I replace the furnace at the same time?
Often it makes sense. The indoor coil sits on the furnace and the blower is shared, so doing both together avoids paying twice for the same labour. If your furnace is over fifteen years old, ask for both numbers.
What size air conditioner do I need?
It depends on square footage, insulation, window area and ductwork — not on a rule of thumb. We calculate it during the assessment. Bigger is not better: an oversized unit cools too fast to remove humidity.
Do you install in condos and townhomes?
Yes. Space and noise limits usually rule the decision, and in some buildings a ductless or heat pump system is the better fit. We will tell you if that is the case rather than sell you the wrong box.
