What Our Installation Includes
Sized for Your Home
We calculate the heat loss for your house rather than matching whatever was there before. An oversized furnace short-cycles, wears out early and heats unevenly.
Removal and Disposal
The old furnace is removed and disposed of responsibly. No extra charge and nothing left behind.
Permits Pulled
Required permits are obtained as part of the job, not left as paperwork for you to chase afterwards.
Rebates Applied For
High-efficiency equipment can qualify for Ontario energy rebates. We identify what applies and submit the applications on your behalf.
Properly Commissioned
Gas pressure set, airflow measured, combustion checked and the thermostat configured. An uncommissioned furnace can pass inspection and still run badly for years.
Financing Available
Flexible monthly payments so a failed furnace in January does not have to be paid for all at once.
Choosing the Right Furnace
The three decisions that matter are efficiency, staging and blower type. Efficiency (AFUE) sets how much of the gas becomes heat in your home rather than going up the flue. A 96% furnace turns almost all of it into heat; an 80% furnace sends a fifth of it outside.
Staging changes how the furnace runs. A single-stage furnace is either full output or off. A two-stage unit runs longer at lower output, which holds a steadier temperature and evens out the difference between floors — the most common comfort complaint we hear in Ottawa homes.
A variable-speed blower does the same for airflow, and is noticeably quieter.
When to Replace Rather Than Repair
- The unit is over fifteen years old
- The repair costs more than about a third of a replacement
- It has needed more than one repair in two years
- Rooms heat unevenly no matter what you do
- The heat exchanger is cracked — that is a replacement, not a repair
Ask for both numbers and decide with them in front of you.
Common Questions
How long does an installation take?
Most residential furnace replacements finish in a single day. We protect floors on the way in and clean up on the way out.
Can you install in winter?
Yes. No-heat replacements are treated as emergencies and we carry common sizes so you are not waiting on an order.
Should I replace the air conditioner at the same time?
Often it pays to. The indoor coil sits on the furnace and the blower is shared, so doing both together avoids paying twice for the same labour.
What warranty do I get?
The manufacturer warranty on the equipment plus our own workmanship guarantee on the installation itself.
